Product Description

Chlorpheniramine Maleate Bolus has a variety of relevant effects and hence applications. This medicine is clearly an antihistamine, and it is used to treat acute inflammatory and allergic disorders such as vaccine responses, blood transfusion responses, bee stings and bug bites, itchy skin, and so on. It is not one of the more potent antihistamines in dogs, but it is one of the most consistent antihistamines in cats. Antihistamines are better utilised as a long-term prophylactic measure rather than in an acute context where inflammation is already present.

Chlorpheniramine Meleate Bolus is indicated in :

• Follow up therapy with Histaphen Injection
• Skin allergy : Dermatitis, Urticaria, Pruritis, Lightening of skin color, Skin irritation, Itching
• Respiratory Tract Allergic Infection
• Alopecia Areata (Pelade) : A condition is which due to some unknown allergy, immune system of the body attacks hair follicles resulting in loss of hair
• To prevent drug reactions due to usage of multiple drugs
• Supportive therapy in Mastitis to treat itching and control allergic reactions due to usage of multiple drugs
• Snake bite and Insect bite : Adjuvant to Atropine and steroid administration
• General case of poisoning
• To prevent anaphylactic shock
• First line therapy to reduce anxiety in cattle
